Confronting with the well experienced ISL team NorthEast United FC, new team Bengaluru FC registered its third victory in the ongoing season of Hero Indian Super League 2017. After facing defeat against FC Goa in previous match, Bengaluru’s football team made a strong comeback into the league and once again topped ISL points table.
The soccer match, which was played on 8th December 2017 at Indira Gandhi Athletic stadium situated in Guwahati, began with a tough competition between the two teams. None of the ISL side managed to score in initial stage of the game. For first 45 minutes, the match score remained 0-0.
Bengaluru FC’s famous footballer Miku scored the first goal for his team at 47th minute. After taking 1-0 lead in the match, Bengaluru’s team prominently focused on defending their goalpost from the aggression of opponents. The team not only restricted the rival team from entering into the area nearby their goalpost but also maintained the lead till the last moment.
Having well experienced Indian as well as overseas soccer players in the team, NorthEast United FC tried its best to level the scores. Efforts taken by the players didn’t pay off as the antagonist team resisted the every attack of home team. Though NorthEast United FC received maximum support from the audiences on home-ground, the team failed to equalise the match score.
Bengaluru FC is scheduled to play its next match against FC Pune City on 14th December at Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, which is situated in Pune. NorthEast United FC will be up against Kerala Blasters FC on 15th December at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium, which is located in Kochi. NorthEast United FC needs to win the upcoming matches so as to improve its rank in ISL standings.
