Bengaluru FC faced defeat against Chennaiyin FC in 26th match of ongoing Hero Indian Super League 2017. In the soccer match played today, Chennai’s football team successfully scored two goals while the opponent team managed to score only one. Hindering the victorious journey of new ISL team – Bengaluru FC, Chennai’s soccer club registered its 4th victory in this edition of Hero ISL.
The match score remained 0-0 for first four minutes of the game. Chennai’s footballer Jeje Lalpheklua scored first goal for his team at 5th minute and Chennaiyin FC acquired 1-0 lead in the game. Taking an interesting turn, the match became quite entertaining for the audiences as Bengaluru FC started struggling hard to score its first goal.
Footballers of Bengaluru’s soccer club tried their best to score a goal in initial phase of the game, but the soccer players did not manage to do so. Chennai’s footballer players successfully resisted the opposite team from scoring its first goal in early stage of the match. By the end of first half of the game, the match score was 1-0.
Playing on home-ground, Bengaluru FC could not score any goal in initial 45 minutes and Chennaiyin FC remained dominant in first half of the match. Second half of the game began with a strong confrontation between the two teams. Audiences gathered in the stadium witnessed tough competition between the two ISL teams.
Sunil Chhetri, who is considered as one of the best players in Bengaluru’s soccer club, scored first goal at 85th minute and the home team managed to level the scores. With the goal scored by Bengaluru’s footballer, the match score became 1-1. Chennaiyin FC lost the lead at that moment. Both teams tried their best to attain lead in the game.
Chennai’s footballer Dhanpal Ganesh played crucial role in taking his team’s performance to the next level by scoring a goal at 88th minute. That was the second goal for Chennaiyin FC. With the goal scored by Ganesh, Chennai’s soccer team took 2-1 lead in the game and successfully resisted the rival team from scoring further goal.
Bengaluru FC tried its best to equalise the score in last 2 minutes, but the efforts taken by the host team could not pay off in the end. Bengaluru’s football club disappointed its fans and supporters by loosing the game at home-stadium. On other side, Chennaiyin FC improved its rank in ISL points table by winning this match and entered into the list of top four best performers teams in the league stage matches.
Bengaluru FC is all set to confront with Jamshedpur FC in its upcoming match which is about to be played on 21st December 2017 at Sree Kanteerava stadium in Bengaluru. Chennaiyin FC is scheduled to play its next match against Kerala Blasters FC on 22nd December this year. The match will be played on Jawaharlal Nehru stadium, which is situated in Chennai.
