Defeating Mumbai City FC in the fourth match of Hero Indian Super League 2017-18, Benagluru FC made a successful debut in the fourth season of ISL. Confronting with the most experienced football club in the league, Bengaluru’s soccer team surmounted the match results with 2-0 lead and grabbed first rank in ISL points table.
Struggle for scoring the first goal started from very 1st minute of the match. Both sides were trying their best to score 1st goal to take lead in the game. Though footballers of both teams put their entire efforts in reaching to the goalposts of rival team, none of the ISL side succeeded in hitting the ball into the nets. The score remained 0-0 till the half time.
At 67th minute, Bengaluru’s footballer Edu Garcia scored the first goal of the match. With the help of his vital contribution, Bengaluru FC managed to grab lead in the game. Confidence level of the team was at peak as it not only defended the rival team from scoring any goal but also succeeded in scoring their first goal in its 1st match in season of ISL.
Efforts from Mumbai’s side were consistently failing to penetrate the strong defense of Bengaluru’s soccer team. Taking the benefit of massive support from audiences on the home-ground, Bengaluru FC managed to score its second goal at 93rd minute. Sunil Chhetri was the man who scored 2nd goal for the new ISL entrant.
With this victory, Bengaluru FC attained top position in ISL standings. Mumbai City FC’s rank declined to bottom place in the same chart. Mumbai City FC is all set to confront with FC Goa in its next match which is about to be played on 25th November. On other side, Bengaluru FC will be up against Delhi Dynamos FC on 26th November 2017. Both teams are expected to perform well in their next games.
