In 16th match of ongoing Hero Indian Super League 2017, audiences witnessed tougher competition between Kerala Blasters FC and Mumbai City FC. The two teams confronted hard to conquer the ISL game, but finished the match with equal score. Scoring 1 goal each, the soccer match ended with 1-1 result. The match was played on 3rd December at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium, which is situated in Kochi.
The match began at its scheduled time. Mark Sifneos scored the first goal for home team at 14th minute and Kerala Blasters FC acquired 1-0 lead in the match. Successfully retaining the lead till the end of first half of the match, Kerala’s football club did not let the opposite team score any goal.
With a strong defensive stance donned in the initial phase of the match, Kerala’s team failed to resist the rival team in 2nd half of the match. With the help of goal scored by Balwant Singh, Mumbai City FC made a strong comeback into the game and leveled the score at 77th minute of the soccer match.
Hard efforts to clinch victory in this match were taken by the both sides. None of the team succeeded in defeating the antagonists by scoring one more goal. The match finished with 1-1 result. Kerala Blaster’s CK Vineeth scored one goal at 89th minute, but its wasn’t counted in the main score as the team received ‘red card’ for committing the most serious offense in the game.
Kerala Blasters FC is scheduled face NorthEast United FC in its next match, which is going to be played on 15th December this year at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium. Mumbai City FC will play its upcoming football match against Chennaiyin FC at Mumbai Football Arena on 10th December 2017.
